Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raji received a phone call from Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, discussing the latest developments in the situation in Lebanon and the region, and bilateral relations between Beirut and Ottawa.
During the call, the Canadian Minister inquired about the repercussions of the Iranian-American agreement on the Lebanese arena, stressing that her country stands by Lebanon and continues to provide assistance to it at this critical stage.
For his part, Raji stressed that the highest priority remains the ceasefire, welcoming any agreement that serves stability, stressing at the same time that Lebanon continues to choose negotiations, but on a path independent of the Iranian-American path, to reach a comprehensive solution that preserves its sovereignty and stability.
