The two municipalities confirmed in a joint statement that Israeli army forces are still in control of the areas they occupied north of the Litani River, which requires exercising the utmost caution and prioritizing public safety over any other considerations, until appropriate conditions are available for a safe and stable return. The statement stressed the importance of adhering to official directives and following developments through approved channels, in order to preserve the safety of the people, expressing their hope that appropriate conditions will be available for all the people of the two towns to return to their homes as soon as possible.
