With one goal...Scotland snatches its first points at the expense of Haiti

The Scottish national team achieved a valuable 1-0 victory over the Haiti national team, on Saturday evening local time (Sunday morning GMT) in the first round of the third group of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup, which is currently being held in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Scotland player John McGinn scored the only goal of the match in the 28th minute.
With this result, Scotland sits at the top of the group standings with 3 points, two points ahead of its closest rivals, Morocco and Brazil, who tied 1-1 earlier on Saturday in the same round.
