South Korea turns the tables on the Czechs at the opening of the World Cup campaign

The South Korean national team opened its campaign in the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the best way, after overcoming a deficit against the Czech national team into a valuable victory.
The South Korean national team defeated the Czech national team 2-1, on Thursday evening local time, Friday morning GMT, in the opening round of the first group of the World Cup, which is hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The Czech team scored through Ladislav Krejci in the 59th minute, before the South Korean team responded with two consecutive goals from Hwang In-beom and Oh Hyun-gyu in the 67th and 80th minutes, respectively.
