Today, Thursday, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Raji, expressed his deep pain and concern “about the continuing Israeli attacks on the city of Tire in southern Lebanon, which affected its historical neighborhoods, churches, mosques, and heritage monuments that have endured over thousands of years.”
Raji is conducting a series of intensive diplomatic contacts, demanding “an immediate cessation of these attacks,” and raising his voice “in defense of a human and cultural heritage that does not concern Lebanon alone, but extends to the conscience of the entire world.”
These developments come after the Israeli army carried out raids on the city of Tire in southern Lebanon, after issuing evacuation orders for its residents and surrounding neighborhoods, as part of a continuing military escalation in the region.
