The Union of Workers and Employees of the Electricité du Liban Corporation announced in a statement that it is “following up investigations with a number of employees in the corporation,” calling on “the judiciary to keep up with this file with great care, and on the basis that the accused is innocent until proven guilty.” She affirmed her respect for “the judiciary and judicial decisions,” refusing to “protect the corrupt and arbitrarily accuse the innocent.” The union declared its support for the administration in “this critical time in which all workers and employees are making sacrifices and working hard despite the war and the difficult living conditions they are living in,” recalling “the famous saying attributed to Churchill, ‘If the judiciary is fine, everyone is fine,’ with the hope that Lebanon will remain fine.” She indicated that she "keeps her meetings open to follow up on all developments."
