The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, met with the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Al-Hajjar, who presented him with a picture of the comprehensive security reality in the country and the steps that the security forces are implementing to maintain stability. The meeting touched on the measures followed by the Ministry of Interior to monitor borders and facilitate procedures for arriving and departing travelers through land, sea and air facilities, as well as discussing political developments and general conditions in the country. President Joseph Aoun discussed with Alaa Moussa, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Lebanon, the latest developments on the Lebanese and regional arenas, especially the course of the tripartite talks (Lebanese-American-Israeli) held in Washington and Lebanon’s vision towards them, in addition to reviewing the bilateral ties that bring the two countries together.
