Finance Minister Yassin Jaber explained, “A real ceasefire is required, and this did not happen from November 2024. This period could have been benefited when the Lebanese army deployed south of the Litani, but it did not receive the required aid.” He believed that "when there is a real understanding, the shooting stops, but this requires stopping the bombing, destruction, and marches at a minimum." Regarding the negotiations file, Jaber considered that “if the negotiations do not lead to a halt to the bombing, ‘what will we do?’ and the bet today is on the American side in order to reach a result.” He announced that the dollar is available and public sector salaries will be paid before Eid al-Adha, contrary to the rumors that have been raised, adding, “Liquidity is still available and the Bank of Lebanon has 11.5 billion dollars in reserves in addition to gold.”
