The International Criminal Court on Sunday denied the validity of a report published by the Israeli newspaper “Haaretz” that it had issued new arrest warrants against five Israeli political and military officials on charges of committing crimes against Palestinians. The spokeswoman for the International Criminal Court, Oriane Mayet, said in a statement to reporters that the news reported by the newspaper is inaccurate, “Therefore, the court denies issuing new arrest warrants in light of the current situation in the State of Palestine.” Haaretz had quoted a diplomatic source as saying that the International Criminal Court had issued arrest warrants against three politicians and two military personnel. It was known so far that only two arrest warrants had been issued against two prominent Israeli officials, namely Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, and they were issued in November 2024.
