Qassem Hashem: May 17 is a stop for overthrowing hegemony and protecting Lebanon’s sovereignty

Member of the “Development and Liberation” bloc, MP Qasim Hashem, said: “May 17 is not an ordinary day in the history of Lebanon. For 43 years, this country almost entered the tunnel of submission and submission to the Israeli enemy’s dominance over its sovereignty and decision-making, if it were not for the heads of men and a national will that overthrew the basis and effects of what was being written for Lebanon. It may be a coincidence that these days are an attempt by the Zionist enemy to reproduce what it could not reach at that time, and what is upon Lebanon. The Lebanese should not conjure that stage and its deliberations to ward off the danger and search for the factors of strength to fortify the national reality and thwart the Israeli project to preserve Lebanon by protecting its south and restoring its land inch by inch from the Naqoura Sea, extending with all its villages until the last grain of dirt in the Shebaa Farms and the Kfarshouba hills.
He stressed that "today's attention to the dangers facing our homeland requires abandoning the wrong bets that allow the enemy to sabotage the internal situation, and this is the responsibility of everyone to benefit from the lessons to build a strong homeland and preserve its sovereignty and dignity with the unity of its components so that it remains a homeland for all its people."
