This afternoon, the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, made a telephone call to the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and discussed with him the current situation in Lebanon, Kuwait, and the region in light of recent developments. During the call, President Aoun expressed the solidarity of the people of Lebanon with the brotherly Kuwaiti people in these delicate circumstances that the region is going through, thanking Kuwait, its Emir, government and people, for the support it has provided and continues to provide to Lebanon and its people, wishing it continued stability and security. The Emir of Kuwait thanked President Aoun for his affection, stressing that Kuwait always stands by Lebanon and its people, especially at the current delicate stage, and its support for the steps that Lebanon is taking in order to achieve security and stability in it and restore its sovereignty over its entire territory.
