Al Jazeera loses its most prominent media professionals

Today, Sunday, the Jordanian-Palestinian journalist, Jamal Rayyan, died at the age of 72, after a busy career that made him one of the most prominent media figures in the Arab world.
Jamal is considered one of the founding generation of Al Jazeera, as he was the first to appear on its screen when it was launched in 1996.
He was the first to present a news bulletin on its screen, and is famous for presenting news and analytical programs, and for his participation in covering major political events in the Middle East.
